Can we fall in love with the Art of Living??

The art of living:

As a society at large, as a species, we have become so separated from the simple and beautiful art of living. Growing our own food, tending to our own bodies, taking time to connect with ourselves and Mother Earth, that we are experiencing a disconnect with our own bodies. Our body is our home, our safe place, our place to experience true peace, delight, and our senses are our teachers. The senses teach us the subtle secrets of the universe and oneself.


Awareness Practice 3 mins or less...

Do this with me now to feel how simple, yet powerful, connecting to one's senses is. 


Take a deep breath....


...become aware of your senses.


Becoming aware of one sound...


...listen to it for a moment.


Shift your awareness to your gaze,


...focus on one point for a moment,

even if it’s on this page for the purpose of this being read


Bring your awareness to your sense of smell,


really breathe in deeply and just pay attention to what you observe...


Now shift into your sense of taste, what do you taste?


How does that taste feel in your body?


And finally, shift your awareness into your body,

become aware of what you’re feeling...


ideally, find a sensation that feels good,


now expand that feeling and let it spread throughout your body.


Take another deep breath feeling the breath filling your body with light and as you exhale you release anything that no longer serves you.


Breathing naturally now…how do you feel? Has anything changed since doing this?


Here’s the beautiful thing, when we lean into this concept of embracing the art of living, we can fall in love with the process of living again. Loving the home (the body) we’re in, embracing the life we’re living...creating a relationship with oneself and ones environment.
Can we shift into ourselves and heal from within? Our body is an intelligent, masterful being that deserves care and love. So are our emotions, valuable tools and teachers guiding us through life and teaching us. Our senses can help us connect to our higher selves and find that still point where healing, insight, inspiration and understanding can happen.

Our culture has taught, told, and trained us to abandon our feelings, change our bodies, nothing is good enough, to be better, look better, and somehow out of all this abusive behavior of self, you are supposed to be healthy, wealthy and wise. Something is wrong with this picture and the dysfunction, imbalance and pure chaos of the state of health, mental health, physical health, environmental health, leadership health comes down to the dysfunctions of us as living beings on this planet.


We. Have. To. Change. We have to pay attention. We have to wake up to ourselves. Wake up to your body, wake up to your emotions, wake up to your visions. It’s time. To. Wake. Up. And fall in love with life again.
